Pornography and access to this by children is a major problem around the world. England´s Children´s Comissioner, Dame Rachel de Souza, as reported in the Daily Mail, was recently quoted as saying that “online pornography is as dangerous to youngsters as handing them a weapon”. This is a major affirmation of the gravity of the problem. Tackling this access to inappropriate content both at school (which is very difficult normally) as well as at home (not so difficult) and on a mobile phone (very easy) needs to be a priority for parents, schools and society in general. Escudo Web has all of these bases covered. When a school device protected with our software is taken home the parent can manage internet access for their child from a remote app on their phone. Similarly if a child has one of our phones, once linked to a parental device, it allows the parent to manage what apps the child can use, and when, as well as what web pages they can see, preventing access to inappropriate content. All of these are easy to configure and use. Child safety online is a must.
