A BMC Psychiatry Research Paper in 2019, stated that “Over the past decade there has been an increase in use of smartphones among children and young people which has occurred at the same time as a rise in common mental disorders in the same age group”. To help address addiction to technology a parent can freeze the screen of the child´s Blabloo or Geniora smartphone at any moment by simply pressing a button on their Parents app, in order to bring the child back from the online world to the real world, for important family activities such as meal times, bath time etc. This same functionality, of Digital Parental Interaction, is also included with Escudo Web´s Educational software solutions (midess for Windows, Lugus for Google Chromebook and onTAB for the Android platform).
